Dr. Fundytus’ practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, primarily in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, imaging, and chemical fields. Dr. Fundytus has extensive experience developing and managing large patent portfolios. She has experience focusing research activities on novel, patentable inventions by conducting searches, particularly chemical sub-structure searches, and preparing patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions. Dr. Fundytus has experience in drafting agreements, including outsourcing, collaboration and licensing agreements.
Dr. Fundytus draws on her extensive scientific research experience, which includes Postdoctoral Fellowships at Astra-Zeneca in Montreal, Canada, for which she received an MRC/PMAC University-Industry grant; and McGill University, Canada, for which she received the first awarded Dr. Ronald Melzack Pain Research Award (sponsored by the Canadian Pain Society, Canadian Anaesthesiologists Society, AstraZeneca Canada, and the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC)). She is the author of many articles in peer-reviewed scientific articles, as well as a book chapter.
