Mr. Hurley focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation in cases involving the assertion and defense of IP rights, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation. He represents clients in jury and non-jury lawsuits, and has successfully taken cases through appeal in numerous actions before the Federal Circuit, Third Circuit and Second Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mr. Hurley counsels clients in a wide range of industries and technical disciplines, including consumer electronics, laser imaging, industrial materials, medical devices, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals and computer hardware and software. He advises clients on a variety of issues related to the acquisition, protection, and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Mr. Hurley also counsels clients concerning intellectual property asset management and licensing.

Mr. Hurley is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the International Intellectual Property Society, and the New York Intellectual Property Association. He is a 2009 recipient of the New York State Bar Association’s Empire Counsel award for pro bono work.
